Bhagat Ravi Das Ji

Bhagat Ravidas was a poet, devotee and Gurmukh was born on Maghshudhi 14 Pooranmashi in Smt.1456, i.e., 30 January 1399 in Kashi. He was a monotheist and was knower of Gurmat. He was devotee of God, and his hymns are placed under Bani Bhagatan ki.

Ever since his childhood, Guru Ravidass Ji had religious bent of mind. His talks were not conventional. Even his family members were astonished at his strange actions. He was an un-daunted boy. When he became adult, he started worshipping God like the Brahmans.

Guru Ravidass Ji was a great saint of medieval Age who remained contented with his mini-mum belongings and resources of livelihood. He preferred to lead a poor man’s life. Many kings and queens and other rich people were his disciples but he never expected and accepted any wealthy offers.

Guru Ravidass Ji expanded and spoke poetic lines, originating from the particular letter, signifying Glory of God.

His devotional songs and verses made a lasting impact in the Bhakti movement.

Bhagat Ravidas came to be recognised and respected by all the people despite his low caste. Ravidas was honoured in the Court of the Lord.

Benefits of economic growth have trickle down to the poor in the form of more employment opportunities, greater productivity and higher wages. Punjab Government has raised the capital to generate more employment opportunities and increase productivity of labour. Agriculture growth has reduced the poverty line as well. The development of infrastructure has also speed up. Special employment schemes for the poor have been provided. Generate wage employment for the rural poor by the government. It has made useful contribution to poverty reduction in the rural areas.

MAJITHIA URGES YOUTH TO WORK FOR NATION BUILDING, HEALTHY SOCIETY

Addressing a function at a local school, the minister felt that the youngsters should be given a chance to excel and the beginning for this must be made from schools. He said youth should differentiate between good and bad with a view to building nation and a healthy society.

Pointing out that India had a large young population, he said a number of youth icons of India had made a mark for themselves at the global level. “Be it education or sports, the Indian youth is already a name to reckon with. It is a must that besides education, youngsters should acquire skills in different trades,” he added.

Underlining the need of youth empowerment, he said success in real terms for youth could only be considered when they become capable of differentiating between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ in life. He also urged the youth to ensure their contribution in the development of mankind, society and the country.

French Minister Segolene Royal inaugurates solar park in Delhi

French Minister for Sustainable Development and Energy Segolene Royal and Punjab Minister Bikram Singh Majithia have inaugurated a 21 MW solar park, which is set up in Punjab.

The solar park has been set-up by a French Solar company, Solairedirect, and is spread across 40 hectares in the Fazilka town on Punjab.

According to reports, the park will generate 39 Gigawatt Hours per annum. Royal, who is in India for the Delhi Sustainable Development Summit said that the park was an example of fine engineering.

“This wonderful example of Indo- French engineering coming together in this project, I think, is one of the key elements of success in this project,” said Royal.

The rapidly falling cost of solar power, which is expected to reach parity with conventional energy by 2017, has ignited interest in its potential in India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has looked to industry for help in funding what could be a USD 100 billion expansion in clean energy.

Meanwhile, Royal said that the project was a ‘win-win partnership’.

“It is also a project that shows sharing. It is a win-win partnership that has taken place and this double economic model is very original,” she said.

India has committed to a huge expansion in renewable energy and improving the energy efficiency of its rapidly growing economy, while at the same time increasing its burning of coal to meet the bulk of its growing energy needs.

ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼ ਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲ ਰਖਣ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰਖਦੇ ਸਨ। ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਲੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼ ਰਖਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ। ਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਸਾਡਾ ਇਹ ਫਰਜ਼ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਿਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਫੈਲਾਈਏ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੱਖ-ਲੱਖ ਵਧਾਈਆਂ।
